The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 is a comfortable keyboard and carry-around mouse that lets you go cordless easily. The package comes with a handy, go anywhere, wireless mouse and a standard sized keyboard, both featuring a solid wireless connection. Setting up the mouse and keyboard is a snap. It will in all likelihood take longer to take out of the packaging than installing it. Just plug the system in and your personal computer will straightaway recognize them, as long as you're using a Windows based PC. Simply plug and play - no lag time or other installation troubles.

All of the standard keys come with the keyboard, and there are a couple of extra shortcut keys. There's a key that allows toggling between your home page and email along with music shortcuts and any other open applications you may have. The inclusion of a pair of special keys for On and Off functions and locking up your computer is a cool feature. It says that the keyboard is spill-resistant, but hopefully you will never need to find that one out. The mouse is pretty much the same as any mouse for a notebook. It works okay with either hand, and has well designed left and right buttons, and a scrolling wheel. The mouse's receiver snaps on directly above the on and off switch.

At the bottom of the mouse you can find the battery cover. One thing that's missing is Page Front and Back buttons; admittedly, these are more likely to be found on a desktop mouse than a notebook. Battery life is great, with 15 months for the keyboard and 5 months for the mouse. Of course, battery life changes with usage. And, one should never place too much stock in the life of the batteries included with items like this. The mouse has a battery life indicator; the keyboard doesn't come with one.

You can use the wireless keyboard, while seated on your sofa, to control videos that you're watching on your big flatscreen, while your laptop sits on your desk.

In summary: The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 boasts of several positive features - convenient shortcuts, good battery life, spill resistance and the way the mouse's receiver snaps on to its bottom. In addition, I like the way the battery cover firmly keeps the battery inside. There's no way the battery cover is going to simply fall off - you have to press the release. The fact that you can't recharge the batteries is a small disadvantage. Moreover, there is no battery life indicator on the wireless keyboard and forward/back buttons on the mouse.

The Desktop MK320 by Logitech will work well with desktop PCs, but even better with laptop computers, for which it is specifically developed. An inexpensive price tag with its high quality and performance makes the Desktop MK320 by Logitech a superb all around value for your buck.
