To answer the question, "What is Wazzub", First lets be clear that it is a start-up company. You will not see elegant marketing, their isn't a big money owner that is going to promote the site and it has been created by entrepreneurial individuals who have come together looking for a dream to compete with the establishment. They are going to share 50% of the profit it earns with the members who help to create its network of users through referral marketing.
There is $0 buy-in to start referring people to the concept, there is $0 cost to use the service once it is up and the only thing you have to do in order to receive 50% of the revenue your network creates is make Wazzub your homepage instead of say Google, Yahoo or FaceBook who keeps 100% of the money you and your network earn.

$2 Million Dollars is not that much money to start a company that has the ambition these guys have but it should be enough because the value of the company will be in the size of the network it can create. They will start earning advertising cash flow just like all other Social Media sites do. As of today though, December 30, 2011, the company is in pre-Launch and that is What is Wazzub.
What I have seen of Wazzub so far is that the core team what to share their concept and their product with the world so that when people ask "What is Wazzub", they are going to say that Wazzub is for real and it shares its profits with the people who build the network of users.
If you can share the concept with your friends and family (your network) and encourage them to share with their friends and family than there is the potential to earn money on this site.

To answer the question what is Wazzub , you need to realize the company is a startup that has the best intentions. For those that believe Wazzub a Scam , there isn't any reason for the company to scam people out of money however, like any new company, it could fail for any number of reasons.
