You may be tempted to push a younger child into reaching the same milestones as your older child just because the older child had accomplished doing it at that age. Every child will do this things in their own time. Pushing them generally only pressures them and makes them take longer.

Keeping these items out of the house, and thus out of your child's mind, will make it less likely for them to want the unhealthy foods. You should have a set of rules that your children are required to follow. Also, let them know the consequences of breaking those rules. Establishing rules and limits demonstrates that you want your children to be safe, healthy and happy. Rules can also make parenting easier for you and your partner.

This will let your child see progress as well as motivate him or her to be rewarded.

Plan in advance for interesting and fun outdoor activities for the children. Making plans to do things outdoors shows your children that it is worthwhile enjoying the outdoors; plus, you are less likely to put off these opportunities when they are planned ahead of time.

Having a strong, meaningful relationship with your child when they are young is so important, and it will positively effect them once they are teenagers, when they are less likely to want to open up.
